この「昨日の空を思い出す」は、グラスの水のなかに、昨日の空模様をそのまますくうようにつくりだした作品だ。そのグラスの様子は日々記録されるが、実際に中の水を飲むこともできる。
コロナ禍に入り、13件の展覧会がキャンセルとなった。人と対面せずに自室で過ごし、空を見上げる日が増えた。そんなコロナ禍に入ってから強く感じたのは、「昨日と同じ今日は来ない」ということだ。逆に言えば、それより前までは昨日の延長線のような今日がきて、きっと同じような明日が続いている、そんな気がしていたことが、今となっては不思議だ。

本作は、コロナ禍の2020年に構想し、液体に液体をプリントする３Dプリンタの構想と開発に2年以上を費やした。※現在も継続して開発中

The artwork "Thinking of the Yesterday’s Sky" captures the patterns of the sky from the previous day in a glass of water, as if it were being absorbed. The appearance of the glass is recorded daily and the water inside can even be consumed. Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, 13 exhibitions were canceled. I spent more time at home without face-to-face interaction and began to look up at the sky. The pandemic reinforced the idea that “each day is unique and that today will not be the same as yesterday”. Before the pandemic, it seemed that today was an extension of yesterday and tomorrow would likely be similar, which now seems strange to think about. The artwork was planned during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and took over 2 years to develop with the use of a 3D printer to print liquids on liquids. (Note: still in progress)
